As promised, your Autorun Eater v2.4 parcel has arrived!
So what’s in the parcel?
Added: ‘Close Autoplay’ option to prevent execution of malware via AutoPlay window.
Removed: ‘Scan Started… Right Click For Menu’ tray tip during launch.
Changed: aesettings.ini file, results.log file, and Autorun Backup folder relocated to application data folder for compatibility with Windows Vista & 7.
Changed: Improvements to monitoring engine.
Changed: Minor tweaks to program behaviour.
Changed: Minor tweaks to program GUI.
Changed: Minor tweaks to installer.
[Fixed]: Unable to ignore suspicious ‘autorun.inf’ with read-only attribute.
There were feedbacks that v2.3 settings could not be changed on Windows Vista & 7. This version should solve that problem and work as expected. When installing v2.4, it will automatically move the aesettings.ini file, results.log file and Autorun Backup folder from previous versions to the application data folder.

Autorun eater has been a usefull tool in detecting suspicoius autoplay features of major malware .This is such a great idea that it works even if you have an outdated version of an an antivirus softaware! Let thy farm works continue! kepp it up guys!

i have figured it out already. it just need to put some exception on the firewall program. my bad =p. tnx anyways, luv ur program, i really do! no more flash drive virus. =)

so, basically I dont need to click anything? coz i dont see any button states : scan disc XX… it’ll automatically remove the autorun?
Old McDonald: Yes, you won’t need to manually start a scan except for drive A: and B:. Autorun Eater actively monitors all drives, right from the time you launch it. When a suspicious autorun.inf file is detected, a warning window will appear and you can choose to either remove or ignore it. As for drive A: and B:, you can scan them using the options provided in the tray menu. Hope this helps, if not, please feel free to reply.

good program, i luv it. just want to comment bout an error everytime my pc starts. i get an error wherein it says something about the billy.exe that i don’t have the right permission to access it. the program still run though, it’s just that the error msg keeps on coming back. help pls, tnx alot old mcdonald! =)
Old McDonald: Maybe you could provide us some information like your system OS(XP, Vista, 7, etc) and other related info. If possible, please also include a screenshot of the error message.
